Thomas W. Kim

Thomas W. Kim, Ph.D., CAIA, is Chief Investment Officer at Mansur & Co., a single-family office advisory firm focused on traditional and alternative investments. His prior career spans management and analyst roles at Bear Stearns & Co, Motorola, and several institutional hedge funds, including the Ontario Partners Funds. In addition, Mr. Kim serves as an adjunct professor (SEIU Local 73) at Loyola University Chicago. He has taught specialized courses on the Cultural History of Contemporary Finance and has held one-day seminars on topics such as John Maynard Keynes and British Modernism at The Graham School Chicago. Mr. Kim holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering with Distinction from Cornell University and earned a Ph.D. from The University of Chicago in English Language and Literature. His articles on minority discourse have appeared in American Quarterly, the minnesota review, and MELUS, and his advisory roles include Council Member of the Humanities Division at The University of Chicago, Board Advisor at Cornerstone Acquisition and Management Co. (U.S. oil and gas) and Board Member of Peripath LLC (ETF solutions).
