Sewn in Memory: AIDS Quilt Panels from Central Illinois

Tuesday, November 2, 2021 – Thursday, July 7, 2022, All Day, Spurlock Museum.

Visit this exhibit at the Spurlock Museum where certain quilt panels made in the 1980s and 1990s, from the NAMES Project AIDS Memorial Quilt, are being displayed. These quilt panels were created by Central Illinois residents to honor friends and loved ones who died of AIDS. This exhibit was created in collaboration with The Greater Community AIDS Project of East Central Illinois (GCAP), History Harvest (a course at UIUC), and Illinois Public Media (WILL). More information on this recurring event can be found here.
