The College of Law Program in Law, Behavior, and Social Science will present a lecture by Wendy Tam Cho, Professor in the Departments of Political Science, Statistics, Asian American Studies, and the College of Law and Senior Research Scientists at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, on how we can tell when voting districts lean too much in favor of one party, highlighting how math, technology, and supercomputers can usefully intersect with the law. This will be followed by Jason Mazzone, Albert E. Jenner, Jr. Professor of Law and Director of the Illinois Program in Constitutional Theory, History, and Law, who will discuss  reasons courts might be reluctant to embrace this social science and its results.
