Roy Scranton will be lecturing at this event sponsored by the Illinois Institute for Sustainability, Energy, and Environment with a presentation called “Climate Change and the Virtues of Pessimism.” Scranton is a well-known author and is an associate professor of English at the University of Notre Dame where he is also the Director of the Environmental Humanities Initiative.
