John Alba Cutler is an associate professor of English and Latinx Studies and interim director of the Latina and Latino Studies at Northwestern University. He is the author of Ends of Assimilation: The Formation of Chicano Literature (Oxford, 2015), as well as articles in English Language Notes, American Literary History, American Literature, and Aztlán: A Journal of Chicano Studies.
